Nutrition Program

Adequate nutrition plays an important part in maintaining good health. Our nutrition program offers a varied menu each month, provides a well-balanced meal, and ensures that 1/3 of the USDA recommended daily requirements are contained in each meal served. We offer both a congregate meal setting and home delivery program.

Congregate Meals

We serve ready-to-eat meals to seniors age 60 and over at five different locations in the county. Congregate sites offer good nutrition, educational presentations, activity and socialization. The suggested donation is $3.75 per meal.

Please note that Hilbert, Brillion, and Chilton will also accommodate a curbside pick-up option in addition to congregate dining. Please call the ADRC office for more information at (920) 849-1451.

Home Delivered Meals

Home delivered meals, or "meals on wheels", are available throughout Calumet County to all persons 60 years and older who meet program eligibility. This program brings meals to homebound seniors who can’t prepare daily meals and who can’t get to congregate meal sites because of frailty, illness, or disability.

Home-delivered participants residing in any part of Calumet County can receive meals for up to five days per week. The suggested donation is $4.00 per meal.

Call (920) 849-1451 or (920) 989-2700 ext. 4301 for information on how to participate in our nutrition program.

Please note that menus are the same for both home-delivered and congregate meal participants, except for Appleton.
