The influenza (flu) season is arriving soon and Calumet County Public Health is highly recommending that everyone receive the flu shot. As the weather gets colder, and people begin to gather more frequently indoors, it is very important to add a level of protection against the flu with this vaccine. The shot is safe and inexpensive, and it will help protect you and others.
Calumet County Public Health will be offering flu clinics by appointment only on October 18, 2023 from 8:30am – 5:00pm and November 16, 2023 from 8:30am – 5:00pm. The clinic will be held at the County Courthouse, 206 Court Street, in Chilton. To schedule your appointment, please call Calumet County Public Health at 920-849-1432 or toll free 833-620-2730.
Public Health will bill Medicare Part B or “Medicare Advantage Plans” for eligible adults. Please remember to bring your insurance cards to the clinic. Public Health has a very limited number of flu vaccine available at no cost for uninsured adults (19 years and older).
Children (6 months through 18 years of age) will be offered flu vaccine at no cost ONLY if the:
- Child’s health insurance will NOT cover the vaccine or
- Child is uninsured or
- Child has Medical Assistance, (BadgerCare, Forward Health, BadgerCare Plus) or
- Child is Native American or Alaskan Native
All other privately insured adults (19 years and older) and children (6 months through 18 years of age) can receive the vaccine for a fee of $50.00 and will be provided with the information needed to submit for reimbursement through their insurance provider.
