Dena Mooney, County Planner

Calumet County’s economic development program is dedicated to improving and maintaining the thriving economic environment that we reside in today. The program’s success is a direct result of collaboration and partnerships with communities and other economic development and tourism organizations in the county. Calumet County is currently the second-fastest growing county in the state and is seeing more development and industry. The county’s high quality of life and natural landscapes are a few of the reasons why many call “the quiet side of the lake” home to their businesses. Please contact us with any questions, concerns or suggestions you may have. Your input is valuable to the county and its economic livelihood.

County initiatives are outlined in the County's Economic Development Strategic Plan (see document to the left).

Available Assistance
The county economic development program assists existing businesses and new businesses. Anyone interested in starting their own business or expanding their current business is encouraged to contact the Calumet County Planner for information on low interest loans, grants, technical assistance, workforce training, and any other type of assistance needed.
Please visit the www.calumetbusiness.com website for more information on guides, assistance and current economic development initiatives.

The Calumet County Revolving Loan Fund
Calumet County is proud to offer a Revolving Loan Fund to business owners in the county. Business owners can apply for a low interest loan through an application which is reviewed by the Revolving Loan Fund Committee. The loan program is intended to create jobs within the county. At a four-percent interest rate, the loan is very helpful when starting a new business.

For more information on the RLF program, please contact Dena Mooney, Calumet County Planner, to receive a brochure or application for the program.
