2013 Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan Goals:

Minimize human, economic and environmental disruption and reduce the potential for injury/loss of life and property damages from natural hazards.

Enhance public education about disaster preparedness and resilience, and expand community awareness of natural hazards.

Encourage and promote continued comprehensive hazard mitigation planning, and as appropriate take action in each local community.

Engineering design and economic guidance on what constitutes feasible and cost-effective retrofitting measures for flood-prone residential and non-residential structures are presented.
