Local Jurisdictions throughout Calumet County jointly crafted the CALUMET COUNTY ALL-HAZARDS MITIGATION PLAN in 2005-2006.

This document was reviewed by Wisconsin Emergency Management and forwarded to FEMA for approval to meet the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 (DMA2K)requirements.

FEMA approved the county plan on March 22, 2007.Under DMA2K requirements the mitigation plan is required to be updated and approved by local jurisdictions by March 2012.
