Roof Replacement and Repairs

The County of Calumet, Wisconsin, a tax exempt municipal corporation under Wisconsin Statute 77.54(9a), will receive sealed bids up to 4:00 PM local time on Friday August 9th, 2019, in the office of the Calumet County Administrator, Room 319, Calumet County Courthouse, 206 Court Street, Chilton WI 53014, for the following project:

ROOF REPLACEMENT AND REPAIRS Calumet County Facilities Department is seeking bids from qualified Contractors to complete roof replacement and repairs at the Calumet County Courthouse at 206 Court Street, Chilton WI.  The Work consists of roofing rehabilitation and replacement of existing single-ply  roof system of the courthouse 2nd floor; with an alternate #1 to replace existing single-ply roof system of garage; and alternate #2 of the repair and re-coating of existing IRMA built up roof of the courthouse 3rd floor.

A pre-bid meeting will be held at 2:00 PM, local time on August 1, 2019, to view existing conditions and review project requirements. Interested contractors should contact Adam Hernke, Facilities Director (920) 418-4423. All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.

Bidding Documents, including Drawings and Specifications will be available on or after Thursday, July 18th, 2019 and may be requested by emailing with the project bid name in the Subject line. Complete sets of Bidding Documents are also available at no cost in digital (PDF) format by emailing the same address. Documents may also be picked up in person at KONTEXT architects, 242 E Main Street, Suite 201, Sun Prairie, WI 53590 or by calling 715-803-2736. Each entity obtaining Bidding Documents from KONTEXT architects will be designated as a Plan Holder of Record.

If the Bidder receives this RFB from any source or entity other than KONTEXT, the Bidder is responsible for calling KONTEXT and requesting that the Bidder’s name, address and telephone number be placed on the County’s formal bidders list for the project. Failure of the Bidder to notify the KONTEXT in no way obligates KONTEXT to mail addendum or other information concerning the RFB to the Bidder.

Prevailing wage rates are not applicable to this project. This is a sales tax exempt project, consequently, sales tax shall not be included.

All bids must be sealed in an envelope with the bidder’s name and address. The appropriate bid number must be printed in the lower left-hand corner of the envelope. Facsimile bids will not be accepted.

Bids will be opened and publicly read at 8:30 a.m. Monday, August 12th, 2019 at the Calumet County Courthouse, in Room 015, Calumet County Courthouse, 206 Court Street, Chilton, WI 53014. Bid will be awarded, pending approval of Administrative Services Committee on Tuesday, August 13th, 2019.

Calumet County is not liable for any costs incurred in replying to this request.  We reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid(s) considered most advantageous to Calumet County.

All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to the Architect via email at with the project bid name in the subject line.  Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the Architect in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda.
